Bath Weekend

Towards the end of June, Glastonbury weekend to be exact, Andy and I took a trip down to Bath for the weekend. The plan was to do a hot air balloon ride on the Friday morning, taking off from Victoria Park, as flying from Bath means your in with a pretty good chance of seeing Stonehenge, Salisbury Plain and, of course, Glastonbury festival all from above. I have to say though, the Glastonbury bit was actually completely by accident but would have been a massive bonus to have seen/heard the festival from a hot air balloon!
Anyway we booked up Bath for a night so we could see a city we haven't been to on top of the balloon flight but it turns out balloon flights are really hit and miss and it was cancelled a few hours beforehand. We went to Bath regardless and did a bit of sight seeing as well as stopping off at some top tourists spots on the way home.

I've vowed to see as many cities in Europe as I possibly can in a short a space of time as possible and for someone who never holidayed outside of the UK up until a couple of years ago, I've managed to make a pretty good start on the list. Two more trips coming up for Summer and I reckon I'll be justified in buying one of those giant cork board maps to document all the places I've been to so far. Next trip is in 21 days and I can't wait to take looooads of polaroids to add to my collection.

The Dublin Post, #NoFilter*

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram then you may have seen that I recently visited Dublin on a long weekend break. Upon my return I discovered that London City Airport have been running a project which as you may have guessed from the title is called #NoFilter. The idea is to encourage and promote using photos in their truest form, without adding those ever popular Instagram filters or using editing tools from similar apps. The key aim of the project is to get back to the root of photography, capturing the notion that the ever-photographed travel destinations are just as beautiful without the filters.

The Venice Post

I finally made the trip to Venice the weekend before last and OMG it was amazing! We had three full days and two nights in the city and I genuinely didn't want to come home.
