August Wishlist

August Wishlist

August Wishlist by casey-byrne featuring graphic t shirts

It's birthday month, boooo! I'm really not looking forward to it this time around. Birthdays are awkward at the best of times but this year I'm just not feeling it and I wish cancelling was actually an option. Nevermind the fact that I'll be entering my last year of the mid-20's!!
I put together a list of things I've been hankering after for a while, some old, some new, which I aim to get myself over the next few months to celebrate little wins here and there, such as a treat when uni starts up again or when my next work placement starts.
Ah yeah, my next work placement starts in October! I'm really excited for the next instalment of my HR career- culture change and learning and development come at me! Having done a spot of teaching in the past this shouldn't be tooooo daunting but you never know, fingers crossed!

I'm feeling particularly spendy at the moment so it was dangerous putting the list together. I think perhaps a hugeee online spree is in order to get it out of my system? Probably. The superstars and plenty of v-neck cami style items will be first on the hit list. Oh and the Givenchy Dahlia Divin is absolutely goooorgeous and I need it in my life!

Summer Lovin' - July Wishlist

July Wishlist

July Wishlist by casey-byrne featuring Topshop

AH it's been a rough few weeks. I've been suffering with headaches for over 8weeks and they prevent me from doing, well pretty much everything, particularly exercise as they're triggered by movement. Imagine a mild migraine around 10 times a day, bleurgh. So I'm wallowing a fair bit and seriously feeling the effects of not being able to go out for a run or get stuck into my Charlotte G-Shore workout DVD, yeah that's right, I bought it!
I'm on some medication for the headaches which have turned me into a bit of a zombie and, as with most medication, I can't drink on them so I've become a bit of a recluse. Oh, and my hair is falling out as a lovely little side effect.
So all in all it's not shaping up to be the greatest start to summer my end so far. Hopefully this gorgeous weather lasts for a bit longer so I can get out in it and make up for lost time once I'm sorted.
But what better way to brighten all that rubbish than with a bit of online summer clothes shopping!

I've booked a couple of trips away for the end of the summer in the hope that'll I'll be fixed and need to get some summery clothes to take away with me - I can't tell you where I'm going because they're both surprise trips and I wouldn't want to ruin it.

I've been in need of black sandals for such a long time and this New Look pair are exactly what I'm after. The button down denim skirt is a summer must have this year and the white midi skirt is something I have actually just purchased while doing this wish list for my two upcoming trips - fingers crossed it fits!
I hope you've all been enjoying the sun and have lots of exciting things to do over the summer!

June Wishlist

June Wishlist

June Wishlist by casey-byrne featuring Calvin Klein

June should mean summer right? Yeeah it's beyond rainy and windy down south and I've taken to living in my camel boyfriend jacket and tartan scarf. I should not have to wear a scarf in June!
I finished uni last week and although I'm almost 100% sure I'll have to resit my exam in September I have to admit I'm glad the academic year is over. Now I can focus on planning holidays and adventures and can spend my time snapping up those rare sunny evenings in pub gardens and shopping online.

I'm in dire need of shorts this year. I do own a pair but they've gotten gradually bigger over the years, well I've gotten gradually smaller, and they just look ridiculous now so I need to invest in a decent pair that actually fit. I'm also obsessing over Calvins and Adidas at the moment too so I'm going to park a few of these things on the birthday wishlist in the hope that someone gets them for me as a gift, hint hint.

Wish Away May

May Wishlist

May Wishlist by casey-byrne featuring a military jacket

It's safe to say studying at uni while working full time is literally killing me right now. I honestly don't know how people breeze through it.
So much uni work and work work has made me pretty absent from the blogsphere for the last couple of months and has made me really quite ill over the last few days but I decided to take back some time and write a few posts as a kind of stress relief, bit of me time is definitely needed!

My final assessment is on 26th May so this wishlist is all about the things I'm thinking of getting myself as a reward for all the studying (and feeling crap!). I've also decided to take Andy away for his birthday this year, partly because he's really hard to buy for and partly because it would be nice to spend a weekend away from Folkestone for a bit rather than spending the weekend in the same old pubs, I can't say where I'm going just yet because obviously it's a surprise, but I'll be sure to take lots of snaps and tell you all about it when I get back, it's not until July anyway so I'm sure I'll have a pre-travel haul to share with you before then.
Roll on the end of May when uni will be done for the year and I can get back to filling your blog feed with posts, for a few months anyway.

March Wishlist

March Wishlist

March Wishlist by casey-byrne

It really has felt like Spring the last week or so, hasn't it? Blue skies and not having to wear a massive coat with a million layers underneath makes me VERY happy; I'm so ready for thinner jackets and no hoods to protect freshly styled hair! Saying that, I will be flying out to Reykjavik in today which is VERY VERY snowy and cold right now so I haven't managed to escape the winter wear just yet... Iceland though. Excited is an understatement.

Its been a busy month for travel planning; Andy won employee of the year at his company with a prize of £3000 worth of travel vouchers! So in addition to planning for the Iceland trip, I've also been massively wanderlusting over the distant shores we might visit. Thinking Cuba, Costa Rica, Ecuador or the Far East, there are so many choices.

That kind of explains why there is not one, but two Triangl bikinis on the wishlist this month. I finally bought a dupe (for Iceland) and I think it looks, well I probably shouldn't leave the house in it put it that way. I opted for the Ollie style but got pink bottoms with the Tilly Sunburst top and it. is. skimpy. And I know everyone and their cat on Instagram wear them like that, they're not known for being modest, but I just don't know if I can bring myself to do it. The new styles/colours seem to be a bit more supportive for the bigger chested girl so I reckon they would be a good bet.
I'm desperate for more pleather and ripped balck jeans and true to form the Olivia Burton watch is making yet another appearance.

I'm on the way to the airport as I write this, with my new camera in tow, so I'll take loads of photos and maybe some ootd's to show you when I get back.

Cute Collars & Pretty Pastels

March Wish List

March Wish List by casey-byrne showing River Island polka dot dress

I'm off work today as I have food poisoning boooooo! However, it does mean that between the naps and dehydration dizzy spells I can put my wishlist together for March. The weather is perfect for shooting pictures for the posts I've been waiting all month to publish but I'm just not strong enough to get out of bed. So a wishlist will have to suffice for today. Alongside New Girl re-runs of course.

Such a Spring inspired collection!! I can't get enough of pastels, particularly mint, at the moment and collars are an ongoing love of mine when it comes to fashion. Hence the major theme this month. All the items featured are things I've seen in stores whilst shopping for other people over the last week or so and are on my pay day hit list so roll on Tuesday... Which is tomorrow! YES.

There are also a couple of dresses on ASOS I love but are not included above as they're currently out of stock. You've probably seen previous versions of the dresses; cream/white smock dresses with animals printed on. The two I'm after are fox print and deer print. We all know I'm a sucker for woodland animals so I'm glad ASOS decided to extend their collection of animal print dresses past the standard leopards and elephants that are gripping highstreet stores at the moment. Although foxes are meant to be on trend, I haven't seen them anywhere in my area. Can't move for elephants but foxes are well and truly under the radar in Kent - probably why I like them.
Polka dots have crept in there quite quietly too. I didn't think I was a fan of them but it seems that isn't the case!

What trends are you rating for Spring?

Winter Wishes

December

Finally, I've managed to compile a wish list of sorts!
I've really sucked at blogging lately (I mean more than usual, I know I'm not the great at the best of times). I've got three posts lined up but just need to take photos to finish them off. My standard winter self-consciousness has set in and I'm hiding from the camera more than ever. I'll pluck up the courage and show you my new things, I promise.

There's a combination of things in here, things I would like, things I need (jeans mainly) and a couple of New Years Eve possibilities.
I already own the OhMyLove velvet peter pan dress in black and have done for quite a while but I'm never going to be able to wear it as I can't dry clean it - the nice man at the dry cleaners says the material hasn't been treated which means the dye will run horribly :( They've put the price up this year and renamed it so perhaps this issue has been sorted? It's such a nice dress I'd like to own it to wear more than once and wine would be a lovely edition to my dress collection, it's just such a risk on a tight budget.
The Motel sequin dress, however wouldn't be risky. Available in a number of different colours/tones, it's been all over everything lately and I think it would be rude not to jump on the bandwagon!

The Topshop colour block bag is definitely going to be hunted down as soon as Christmas is over, I haven't liked a bag this much in a looong time!

Summer Crush

July Wishlist

There are so many things I wanted to add to the wishlist this month so these are just a few items that have risen to the top of the list.
I love buttoned up blouses at the moment and there are so many on the high-street that I found it quite hard to choose just one. This Topshop number is so dainty, cute and in a colour I'm  really into at the moment so it had to be included. Plus, it's in the sale so hopefully it'll work it's way from wishlist to wardrobe soon
The Twister lip balm is a novelty thing but was actually the first item to be added. Seeing as it combines two of my utmost addictions of the moment, lip balm and Twister ice lollies, it HAD to be on the post.
This photo of the lime green dress, and on the internet generally, doesn't do the dress justice as it isn't a true reflection of the actual colour. It almost looks, mint green here but is in actual fact a very bright, lime green in the flesh.
Shift dresses are my fashion quest this month, along with camis. I'm determined to get one or two for the coming summer months along with a pair of brown heels as I literally own none! Don't ask me how I've fashionably functioned this long without a pair as I haven't a clue!

What's on your wishlist for this month?
